Abigalis Mejia-Saladin MSMI

Abigalis Mejia-Saladin graduated magna cum laude from Augusta University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts; her concentration being painting and drawing. She has attained her Master of Science In Medical Illustration at Augusta University. There, she developed her skills and deepened her expertise in the field of biomedical visuals.

As graduate student, Abigalis worked with Augusta University clients to develop 2D medical visual resources for patients students and doctors. She enjoys the tactile nature of making 3D interactive models to facilitate teaching and learning. Informed by observation in the OR and rigorous science courses, she balances beautiful visuals, extensive research, and engaging storytelling to translate the language of science and anatomy into representative, understandable, and digestible imagery.
